Duke of Edinburgh volunteering opportunity (Bronze, Silver, or Gold level)
The Clarendon Marathon is an event that’s firmly rooted in the local community, since it’s organised by the Rotary Clubs of Winchester and Salisbury, with help from many other local organisations, charities, and volunteers. This means that as well as being a unique race through beautiful countryside and helping to raise thousands of pounds for charity each year, the Clarendon Marathon is also proud to provide opportunities for the development of skills and confidence through the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
We’ve already had three Bronze D of E participants successfully complete their volunteering section with us, and it has been a very positive experience on both sides. So now we’re keen to expand this opportunity to other D of E participants, from Bronze level all the way to Gold. We can offer an interesting and varied programme that we hope will appeal to participants who are interested in running, the outdoors, or event promotion (and preferably all three!)
